Like everyone else on the planet, we're paying close attention to the spread of COVID-19 (aka SARS-CoV-2 or the "novel coronavirus").
UPDATE: As of March 12, NarraScope is an online-only conference. See this post.
(Original post below. The following information has been superseded.)
As of March 7, NarraScope is still scheduled to happen as planned.
Currently there are only a handful of confirmed cases in the state of Illinois and none in the Urbana-Champaign area. The university has not changed their class attendance policy nor made any recommendations to limit gatherings on campus.

We are committed to doing what's best for our attendees. If NarraScope is approaching and you feel unwell, please do the prudent thing and stay home! Similarly, if you are regularly in contact with the elderly or people with compromised immune systems, we recommend that you not attend. If you are travelling from a country under a travel advisory, please follow CDC recommendations for self-quarantine. Wash your hands a lot. We'll all do the same.
If you decide not to attend NarraScope for any reason at all, we will refund your membership cost. Contact us at narrascope@iftechfoundation.org.
Obviously we are monitoring the situation and will re-evaluate as news arrives. Watch our web site for further updates. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks for bearing with us in rough times.
